Alabama Modeling & Simulation Council (AMSC) has participated in the special awards category for the senior and junior in the Alabama Science and Engineering Fair (ASEF) from April 2007 to April 2013.  AMSC’s main goal is to promote the growth of the Modeling & Simulation (M&S) industry in Alabama.  By reaching out to the local and state students, AMSC is promoting Alabama youth’s interest in M&S.

The students were awarded cash, certificates of achievement and valuable M&S Software that was donated from a local company.  The Senior Level AMSC Awards are students from grades 9-12 and the Junior Level AMSC Awards are students from grades 5-8.

The Alabama Modeling and Simulation Council is pleased to endorse the MODSIM World Conference and Expo2013 <www.modsimworldconference.com>, to be held on 30 April to 2 May 2013 at the Hampton Roads Convention Center, Hampton Roads, VA.

- MODSIM World 2013, a multi-disciplinary international Modeling and Simulation Conference and Exposition.

- MODSIM World 2013 is a unique multi-disciplinary conference for the exchange of modeling and simulation knowledge, research and technology across industry, government and academia.  Focus areas for MODSIM World 2013 will include Defense, Healthcare/Medicine, Engineering & Applied Science, Information Assurance and Cyber Warfare, Cross-Cutting Applications in M&S, Education/Workforce Development, Transportation, and Manufacturing.

- MODSIM World 2013 will feature a robust agenda of papers and panel discussions, as well as an exhibit floor featuring a variety of companies and organizations showcasing new advances in Modeling & Simulation.
